Stick your thumb.. up.

When I wrote the post earlier today, I was feeling overwhelmed and I was also feeling manipulated, like the person had an agenda. I didn't feel good about writing it later on however. I was thinking here is possibly a person in need of a friend and not someone out to use me or trick me with a sob story. I thought I should at least give him a chance before I reject him, so I called him to say hello.

What a complete jerk! That total jackass made me so angry. Well at least that would have been easier to write, I could have said how smart I was to figure him out. Instead however I had a pleasant conversation with a really nice man that probably just needs a friend. I will keep my guard up because it is the internet after all but we are going to have dinner together in a couple of days. He will probably turn out to be a good friend and I will hate myself for writing the last post! That's how I hope it turns out... now what makes crow taste good?

Yay!
Hey, not all men we meet and we like can be our lovers. Many will just become good friends.
Chemistry is a complex thing. We either have it with someone or not. Can’t force it.
Enjoy your new acquaintance and just go from there.

XoXo

First of all, ignore Angeline. You have enough going on. Secondly, beware of serial killers!
I hope you indeed find a good friend in this man and vise versa. Or is that vice? Never mind.

GO! see how things are in person. after that, you may write: "I found a friend" or "what a loser!".

Good for you. Even if he does not turn out to be a good friend you are making the effort to get out there and meet people. Just remember: no sex on the first date.

Yay!!!! You did good. I wished we lived closer, we'd always hang out together. Your story reminded me of a situation with me a couple years ago. Just because the person is disabled, doesn't mean they are roses and woo's me. Friends and I were leaving a lounge one night to head to another place. I was first out, so I was holding the door for everyone. Once the last friend was out, a guy in a wheelchair, very cute too I might add, was coming in, so I still held the door. He gave me the biggest attitude, and said "Just because Im in a wheelchair doesn't mean you have to hold the door!" I explained I was holding the door for everyone, but if you can handle it poodle fine, and let the door close and his wheelchair wheels got caught in the doors.

Alas, there was no Meals on Wheels for me that night.

Caution is always wise. Being in Sales, I'm always wary of people since some can be very good at manipulation. Maybe all he needs is a friend... but then this is the Internet.

Good for you, and I hope it all goes well!

I am so glad you are meeting up with him and look forward to hearing what you think of him after that!

You don't need to eat crow. It's good to be wary of online interactions. You redeemed yourself by agreeing to meet.

Hmm, looks like Juan and Angeline have been bumping unprotected uglies! Morons.

Sixpence, unless we met, then it better be sex, sex, sex all the time or I'm really going to be ticked! Hahaha, just kidding.

Sooo-this-is-me said...

Deedles, is she an internet virus? Better type with condoms on.

Sooo-this-is-me said...

Anne Marie, yup that's the plan, hopefully a friend.

Sooo-this-is-me said...

Lurker, awww you're no fun, although I don't usually get sex after the fourth, fifth or sixth date.

Sooo-this-is-me said...

Maddie.. I'm not really sure how to answer this. He definitely was rude but you disabled... a disabled person!

Sooo-this-is-me said...

Maddie, I'm wearing a condom while blogging, you should too.

Sooo-this-is-me said...

Dave yes exactly, this is the internet.

Sooo-this-is-me said...

Bob, we shall see, blog material for sure!

Sooo-this-is-me said...

JanF, thank you and hopefully I will have something good to say.

Sooo-this-is-me said...

Richard, thank you, yes usually the meetings from the internet are not a success.

Deedles, you just made my day, I laughed so much from your comment. Now I attack.

And you best get a front door attendant like I have to keep that riff raft out, like that herpes crowd...…..people will start talking.....

Sooo-this-is-me said...

Maddie, nope not an evil "b", I think you just taught him a lesson regarding manners. Too many disabled people feel they have a right to be rude to other people when there was no call for it.

Sooo-this-is-me said...

Maddie, Lurky already complains it's too hard to get into my blog. Besides, I have an open door policy. Lol

Sooo-this-is-me said...

Deedles, I totally took it as a compliment... I'm sure he will as well.

Did you deprive us of a blog entry? Maddie and John Gray's sidebars are reporting that you made an entry called "Another coming out story" but now it seems to have been disappeared. What are we supposed to read now??

I think it is wise to be cautious when you meet someone on the internet. Maybe this guy will turn out to be a really good friend and won't be one to take advantage. Good luck.

Sooo-this-is-me said...

Old Lurker, "it seems to have been disappeared"? How about reading a book on grammar? Lol, just teasing you, I isn't the guy to give no lecture on the grammar! :D
Something went wrong with the video so me is trying to unbroke it.

Sooo-this-is-me said...

Michael, yes only time will tell.
