Hallowasn't.

Another Halloween whizzed by, I intended to have a little fun with it, I was supposed to blog about a few scary stories that were true. I wanted to decorate the house a little. However time got away on me again, it seems to do that a lot on me now. I didn't even buy any candy for me to pretend... it was for any kids and I would only eat it if nobody came (which they never do).

I worked late, it poured rain all day and was very cold, so I didn't bother going to my sister's house, she usually has a cool party happening as they hand out candy to children. Darkness comes early now, as I was driving home, I noticed the said fact that there are no children in most of the small towns now. I pass through six or seven small towns on my way home and I didn't see one child out trick or treating. Twenty years ago the larger towns would have been very busy with excited kids walking up and down the streets. Now most fitting for Halloween they are ghost towns after dark.

Well that's over with, on to the next thing I guess, maybe I can do something Christmas-ish before it's New Year's and I miss that as well.

no kids in mah hood.

from oct-mar, it's nothing but one stupid "holiday" after another. I don't celebrate and I don't care.

Same! I don't see the groups of kids I used to see ten or five years ago. Even with rainy Halloween evenings you could still see some parents taking the kids from house to house. Not anymore. And Anne Marie is right! it's one 'holiday' after another.

I don't celebrate holidays at all! I find them to be very fattening!

We had two trigger treeders this year. Sometimes one or none. We are the only people who leave the lights on in our block. I believe the cause is hyper protective parents. Now, the merchants in our small town put on a Halloween celebration for kids, usually on the Saturday before Halloween. Safer all around.

Halloween is Gay Christmas. We have a street party of 30,000+ people every year. My favorite holiday.

rkAren't you the guy who hates strangers stopping by his house? Since when would you tolerate trick or treaters? I don't even know how you would treat Xmas carollers spreading good cheer.

Oddly, I had no trick or treaters this year and I am left with a huge bowl of candy. Not good.

We had a whole bunch of Skelatons and Witches. The oldest was 6 years old. The cleared us out of sweets.
