Why Hate?

Today was a beautiful day out and I was trying to get a lot of my outside work completed... or is that started, I completely forgot about posting.

We tend to think of bigotry against the LGBTQ community as something in developing countries but unfortunately there has been a rise in hate in western nations including Canada as well. Fortunately there are also a lot of people who are on our side now, it's not like before.
I don't understand why someone would put the energy into hating us but I'm past wondering now, I don't have time to worry about what they think. I will just use my time to support people who support me.

Hatred is never an easy thing to understand if you're not of the ilk that Hates and would rather exhibit Love, Tolerance, Harmony, Peace and other Positive attributes rather than the Negative ones. Alas, a revealing of how much Hatred is festering in the Hearts of some is now more evident than ever before in recent History anyway. Bigotry and Bias has always been a puzzling Human Condition that some just can't seem to release and be led to a better way of Being and to allow other Human Beings to just BE as well. Celebrating and Respect for ourselves is paramount and I do have to Wonder if many of those who struggling with that also struggle with Loving other people... if you barely Love or have Self-Acceptance, or have self esteem issues, then lashing out is perhaps their Release? I just don't understand, but I do know that Hurting people tend to Hurt people in a vicious never ending cycle of abuse. Be yourself and Authentic to Self is my Mantra, some will accept that and some can't or won't, but that is their Issue, not mine, and I refuse to engage in their Sickness.

It's less hate and more fear; but the fear takes over and it looks like hate.
People are afraid of what they don't know, of what's different.
Sad. I think we should always celebrate what's different.

If what people are doing is not hurting you, then why do you care? I don't understand why some people are so bothered by other people when it has zero impact on them.

Personally, Stevie, I don't care what you do behind closed doors, open doors, in fields, elevators or anywhere else. I just want a running commentary, blog posts and pictures! Is that too much to ask?

Some people need their hatred, it makes them feel superior.

Bohemian, very thoughtful comment. Yes I often wonder about those people, especially in the more open societies. They have the knowledge in front of them but refuse to see it. I don't have time anymore to worry about hateful behavior or thinking. The truth is that those people are so negative or ignorant most people don't want to be around them.

Sixpence, well the evangelical Christians often drive the hate in North America but it depends on the country; however you are right, most times religion has something to do with it.

Bob yes it's ignorance but now it seems to be ignorance by choice for many.

Debra, yes because anyone who doesn't have an LGBTQ friend is a sad sad person.

HuntleyBiGuy, yes it's common senseophobia and there seems to be a lot of it lately.

RB, true but so many people seem to be fascinated with telling other people how to live.

Dave yes that's also true. People are so strange, I stopped trying to figure them out.
