Skip the tatts white boy.

I have mentioned before that I'm not a fan of tattoos, it's just my personal preference. I don't feel however that it's any of my business regarding how other people act in getting a tattoo or liking tattoos on someone. There are times when I do think a certain tattoo looks good on someone, unlike most younger people today, I think less is more. I have also blogged about my huge regret over the "slippery when wet" tattoo I had done back in my twenties, something I have to live with. I'm totally joking, I don't have any tattoos.

I'm often disappointed and even turned off at times when a guy removes his shirt and looks like a green inked collage. Sometimes I find the tattoos cover the form of the man, I think they make him look to be in need of a good bath. I find the trend now of  tattoos all over the neck and face to be gross, like when little kids play with markers. What is up with writing an entire passage on someone's side or back these days.. and I usually can't read it because it's in some bizarre font to look cool. I'm also not sold on the real reasoning behind getting one. I can't tell you how many times I have cautioned people to think it over... only to now have them regret getting one. Getting a tattoo is not going to change your life if you are looking for a way to improve your situation. It's a totally different story if you just want it for something similar to a fashion statement.

One thing I have noticed is skin colour also plays a huge role in the attractiveness to me, I mean the attractiveness of the tattoos, not the man... oops.. oh sorry, will someone check on Sixpence, I think he just fainted! It's okay sweetie Sixpence, I'm not judging the man, just the tattoos, don't worry I didn't just go MAGA on you. Looking at pictures of men recently, many most (okay who am I kidding) all of them having their shirts off, I couldn't help notice the ones with tattoos and how I found them (the tattoos not the men) attractive or unattractive.

Now as a white boy I would like to state that in spite of being called white people, there are many skin tones in the brotherhood, and when we begin to take over the world again we will... Oh sorry, that's for my other blog... muahahaha. No seriously there are many skin tones and many look good with a tattoo but unfortunately I think the people who (like me) have milk white skin, just don't look good with a tattoo. It just doesn't fit, the contrast is too harsh. It doesn't look like body art, in the art world it would be the picture of dogs playing poker. It's one of the reasons I'm not interested in getting a tattoo. I'm not saying that I never will, just right now I'm not interested in one. At the other end of the scale people with really really dark skin make me wonder why they went through the pain but not my business. I think I need to study this further, more photos of shirtless men will be required but I'm up to the task. Honestly I'm just glad guys stopped getting the barbed wire tattoo around their arm, now everyone and their grandma has that one!

You know, I used to feel the same way about white boys with shaved heads. It took me a long time to get used to it. Now it doesn't phase me unless the head is shaped all peanutty or something.

I'm not a fan of tats either.

small ones I can overlook, but the sleeves and the torsos and the legs and the neck/face...not my cuppa tea.

and I would never get one cause it would squick me out; needles and all.

I have tattoos but you can only see them if i choose to show them off. And while I like a tattoo, the full body tats and the facial tats really put me off.

hmmm ... its a personal preference for sure......

It's all about the swagger. Some can carry it off and some can't.

I did faint. How do you know me so well?
And I like tattoos, that’s not a secret. But there are tattoos and there are TATTOOS. Tattoos that look like a ten year old did them with a sharpie are a no-no. Tattoos on face or neck are a non-no. Tramp stamps are a non-no.
And I do think men with very fair skin can get away with color tattoos that are very well drawn and shaded.
And like jimmy says, it’s all about the swagger. And slippery when wet, huh? I’m gonna call Maddie. She’ll settle this.

XoXo

I don't have any tattoos. I find some acceptable, even hot, but it depends on the man. The barbed wire tattoo and the tribal tats look dated to me.

They don't both me that much, as long as it's not a full body canvas. And I wonder if they ever think their body art is going to look totally different 15 years from now.

And a funny thing about skin color: I just did my 2020 census and what nationalities are considered white since there are so many. Interestingly, if you're Egyptian you're considered white.

Tattoos can look good on the right man. Gives you more to explore. It’s nice to trace your fingers over them. But the placement is key. Like many have said, face and neck are a no no. And sometimes less is more.

I like tattoos on both men and women and am fascinated by them all. I only have two myself, though. Deedles' comment about "peanutty" heads damn near made me pee my pants with laughter.

I hate tattoos. I always worry what they'd look like 30 years down the line, with sagging skin.
I had to have 4 tiny tattoo markers when having radio therapy so tattoos aren't all bad....

Deedles, I had a buzz cut once in my twenties... I looked awful!

Sooo-this-is-me said...

Anne Marie, I agree with all you said above.

Sooo-this-is-me said...

Bob, makes me wonder where you put those tattoos!!! Yes same here, very off putting.

Sooo-this-is-me said...

Tommy, yes to each their own.

Sooo-this-is-me said...

Jimmy, no amount of swagger can pull off neck and face tattoos in my opinion.... but that's just my opinion.

Sooo-this-is-me said...

Sixpence, lol I don't have a slippery when wet tattoo, it's actually an "exit only" tattoo. Ha!
Sorry if I startled you! ; )

Sooo-this-is-me said...

Richard, yes dated is a good way to describe them.

Sooo-this-is-me said...

Anitia, have the Mistress take pictures if you do, rumour has it that you're gorgeous!
; )

Sooo-this-is-me said...

Dave, actually I knew some Egyptians that were very light skinned but I see your point. Yes imagine many of these guys when they no longer have a six pack.

Sooo-this-is-me said...

HuntleyBiGuy, I think a tattoo shouldn't overwhelm the person wearing it because then it becomes a distraction.

Sooo-this-is-me said...

Debra, I don't mind one or two small ones, it's just not my thing.
Deedles does definitely have pants peeing super powers!

Sooo-this-is-me said...

Christina, sorry to hear you had to go through that.
Yes years later a tattoo could look like a wrinkled t-shirt that nobody can read anymore.

Deedles said...

I think I'd rather be invisible ;)

Sooo-this-is-me said...

Deedles, now why would you want to be just like other super heroes, no I think pants peeing powers is very out there.

I am not sure what I think of them, even though I have one. I am nuts I think!

Tattoo? I always loved him on Fantasy Island. THE PLANE! THE PLANE!

But those tattoo's? Nope. I can handle one small one, but those sleeves, and covered torsos, nipple circles and neck and up the face and down the legs. Nope. Who wants to look like a wet newspaper when they get old? The male form landscape is to hot and beautiful to be covered, Carmen Geddit.

Sooo-this-is-me said...

Michael, like most men, only part of you is nuts. Michael one or two small ones well placed can look great, I start to have a problem when a person looks like a page out of a comic book.

Sooo-this-is-me said...

Mistress, lol I forgot about that show!
I completely agree with you, the male form is beautiful enough, I don't like anything that is distracting when I'm drooling at some guy... umm I mean looking at some guy.

Ur-spo said...

I could never get one as I would want to change it after awhile.

Sooo-this-is-me said...

Dr Spo, lol I would probably try to wash it off!
