The Great D..k Pic Debate!
The other day I made a comment to a fellow blogger, (a super sexy older guy) about not responding to guys with pictures of their... umm.... their ummm... their breakfast sausage, their member, one eyed snake, junk, their penis on their personal profile. Some guys don't have a face picture and yet have a picture of "that"! I feel it tells me something about them. Maybe I am using an outdated form of judgment. I personally don't feel a really quality man would do that. I can see later on as you get to know each other and are joking around, maybe one dares the other, that's different. Just putting it up as part of the advertising seems really odd to me, I can't see that man as being a decent guy.
I totally understand if you are searching for a hookup, actually it probably makes sense to do that, the signal is pretty clear and the other person knows what they are getting, they are not hooking up for your vibrant personality. I am not judging anyone if that is what they are into. I have also heard stories of guys hooking up and going on to forming a relationship.
The other blogger said that I shouldn't look at it that way, the guys could just be confident in themselves and with how the equipment looks. It does seem to be common, maybe some guys don't really want to do it but feel they have to. However when I think of all the guys I would love to date, most I know would never post such a picture. Maybe I am wrong, maybe I am right, what do you think, if you are or were single and were trying to date, would you ignore a person trying to contact you who posted pictures of his hotdog, garden hose, rooster, tent pole, penis, his penis. Apparently it's not just a gay thing either, some of my female friends tell me the same thing.

if I were back in the dating pool (dog forbid), a cock pix would get you nowhere. I would want a man who thinks with his big head, not his little one.
I enjoy a one eye shot as much as anyone...though if that is what its being used by way of introduction, I know not to take things seriously. If I'm on a dating app, I read the profiles thoroughly...some are looking for just sex and that is fine. But for the long haul, I've got to like the mug shot far more than the dick shot.
If it's a site like Adam 4 Adam, I don't mind seeing a dick pick because it mostly a hook up site. True dating sites usually don't allow dick picks.
@Anne Marie, I'm with you on this.
In my opinion there's no way a picture of anyone's genitalia is attractive. Keep a sense of mystery. Never put all in the window that you have in the shop!
Greeting from the beach!
I am rather torn on this myself. Now if I was interested in dating, it's not the first thing I would want to see. Period. When I was on hook up sites, I had pictures of everyday pictures of me, and some nude ones too by request.
With me I found confidence in drag, huge personality, and while I was never a huge inhibited person or lacking self confidence, I did not want to be showy out of drag. When it came to my body I was shy. The last several years, two friends and a fellow blogger who visited "brought me out" of my shell And another took me to a clothing optional camp ground. I was at first horrified and nervous, but now it felt more free to me. While I still don't go nude there, I don't mind it either. Said fellow blogger and the Lad have been bad influences on getting me to show the pork sausage! I have submitted whole body views on some sites, and it has gotten me to like my body more. It has really opened me up, and the penis is a beautiful thing, but I'd never feature that on my blog as several creative and open minded co workers do read, so I'll just tease with an occasional swim suit shot.
But if I'm dating I don't think Id share a dick pic, least not right away.
Not do I have to leave this place????????
Anne Marie, are you thinking about the frustration of training a new husband all over again lol? I agree with you, looking for a partner in life is different than just a date.
Walter, yes I want to be clear that I don't have a problem with a penis picture, just if a guy wants me to see him as a potential partner, it doesn't seem appropriate.
RJ, that makes a lot of sense, maybe like the country song, I'm looking for love in all the wrong places.
Christina, true and if you feel the most interesting thing about you is your genitals, that may say something about the person.
Maddie, remember to put sunscreen on.... everywhere! ;)
You never have to leave this place! I think we are on the same page. I like certain blogs because they are not shy, I enjoy seeing a nude man. I hope I'm not coming across as being judgemental. I think also if a guy is just looking for a hookup or a fun night out, there is nothing wrong with showing the goods if you want. I only feel odd about a guy trying to date me and saying, look at my penis.
I think I told you this before but a friend answered an add for a hook up and as the publisher demanded a photo, instead of a photo of him with his cock out , he sent a photo of a local church
John, yes lol that's a funny story. I sent a couple of guys a picture of Lucky my rooster. Well they didn't say what kind of cock pic they wanted!
