Moments captured in a mind.
Last night I went out after dark to check on the animals before bed. Standing in the yard I felt the complete beauty of nature and no phone or camera would be able to capture it. The moon was rising to light up my little valley, the temperature had turned a refreshing cool, not cold but enough to keep the bugs away. The frogs and tree toads were belting out their spring chorus and best of all, the fresh cool air was amplifying the scent of lilacs, apple blossoms and wild cherries. It's one of those moments where you just nod your head and agree that life is good, right at that moment, in that place, and there is no way to capture that moment in its full beauty like just being there.

Aw, this is so sweet. Steven, my man, you are a poet!
You paint a beautiful picture, with words.
Haaaaaay!!! There's my Deeeeedles!!! Awwww you are a cute couple, ok lol I can actually see the ninja turtles reference you keep making but he is no turtle, he is a very fine looking man! Oops, can I say that? Thank you for the comment Deedles, I was moved by the moment but felt there was no way to capture it.
Thank you Christina, I find that sometimes I am surrounded by beauty but it's multi dimensional, so not just a "sunset", it's often a sunset with the scent of flowers while the evening birds are singing the day to its rest, taking a picture would only capture a small part of the experience so I don't do it, I just take it in.
Steven, I think you captured the moment quite beautifully! One of my favorite feels is being at the beach at sunset. Listening to the ocean in the dark is very calming to me, that is until that stupid Jaws theme starts playing in my head :)
What's weird about balder half is he only looks like a ninja turtle when he wears any kind of wrap around glasses. His normal glasses don't have the same effect. My late father used to say he was Kermit the frog. Not that he looked like him. It was his "come on everybody, let's do something" enthusiasm. He got the biggest kick out of it when he remembered who Kermit's girlfriend was.
Deedles, too funny! I would have liked to have known your father. Steven is right, you make a cute couple. Charming!
Steven, your prose poetry doesn't need an Instagram filter, it's perfect right out of the camera.
It was a magic moment we often don't take time to enjoy.
Cute couple, huh? Steven and Mike, you two are so sweet.
There is no great lover than nature... I say.
Well the truth is everyone loves Miss Piggy, there are many days when we all feel like giving every a karate chop that isn't working for us.
I have never been to the ocean yet, believe it or not, flew over a few but I have never been to an ocean beach, you made me really want to go!
Mike, thank you buddy, you're too kind.
RJ, sadly that's true, I bet no one in the city near me, at least saw the moon, they weren't looking up, more like down at their phones.
Deedles, well I was bottle fed maple syrup, all Canadian babies are....... not. ;)
Agnes, true, sometimes I wonder how many things I have missed watching tv or some other waste of time.
Some of my best moments in life are those unexpected moments when everything just looks the way it should. Last summer I was walking my dog when I came across one of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen. I managed to snap a picture with my phone but the picture, though beautiful, just didn't do it justice. I included that picture in a blog post from last summer. The pinks and purples were amazing! I am glad that you got to appreciate that moment!
