Hey Yankee Doodles, You Did It!

Wow! Congrats to my American readers, I hope this election gives you what you wanted, hoped for, needed. It also is a historic day for your country.

As a Canadian, I am not sure how Obama will relate to this country, whether good or bad for relations and trade, but the one thing I am happy about is Palin has no chance of becoming President and that thought scared the crap out of me.

Some good, some bad. Obama won, but California lost.

I would love to never hear about Sarah Palin again, but I'm a-scared she's gonna be back.

Let the 2010 races begin!

I'm amazed America has come this far, to elect a black person President! Then we see Prop-8 fail in California. We still have farther to go.

2012 is just around the corner. The campaign ought to begin Monday.

We yankee doodle did, my north country friend.

There's work ahead but the context has now changed dramatically, and for that I'm grateful and filled with hope.

Steven: Yes, she was not "ready for prime time" as the saying goes. I hope she wasn't the sole home schooling teacher her kids had.
( woe betide them all )

Just recently she was amazed that Africa was not a country but a continent! ;-) I kid you not. She has no grasp on reality besides what her preacher has told her. If this is all the republican party can offer in the future, the democrats should be safe but, one must never assume the 50% that voted for Bush will not try something stupid again in the future.

Yes--it certainly was a historic event.

"...but the one thing I am happy about is Palin has no chance of becoming President..." At least not for the next four years!!! ;-) I will be waiting to see who Obama appoints to his staff and cabinet to see if there indeed will be change.
